Can anyone get Invisalign treatment?

Invisalign is a very popular treatment for straightening your teeth. While some cases are tougher than others, in the hands of an experienced orthodontist like Dr. Havener, it is a very predictable way to straighten your teeth and balance your bite.

What is the Invisalign treatment process?

At Havener Orthodontics, your Invisalign transformation will begin with a consultation and exam with Dr. Havener. At your consultation we will evaluate your teeth to be sure you are a good candidate for Invisalign. We will also give you a treatment plan outlining the cost and approximate number of visits. If you’d like to save some time, we can even begin with your impressions and photos that same day! We take photos of all your teeth and, using our iTero scanner, take digital scans of upper and lower teeth to send out to the Invisalign lab. No goopy impressions are needed! The amount of time you will be in treatment will depend on how much movement is needed to give you that perfect ten smile. 

How long will I need to wear my Invisalign aligners?

The aligners move your teeth a little at a time, so it makes sense that the more movement required, the more time required. A typical case in our office will take 12-18 months to complete treatment. The progress of your treatment is highly dependent on your dedication to wearing your aligners.

We recommended you wear your aligners at least 22 hours a day. Without great compliance, aligners will not give you the result you deserve. You will only be taking your aligners out to eat and brush your teeth. We will see you every 4-8 weeks to check on your progress.
